About This Course

 

Welcome to the Proof Alliance FASD Training for Educators course! In this course, you will learn about fundamental characteristics of FASD, how it affects a child’s brain structure and functioning, and its impact on learning in the classroom. You will also explore various support strategies that will help you set up students with FASD for success. In this training, you will hear directly from students about their school experience and strategies that helped them.

At the end of the course, you will be able to:

  • Define FASD, prevalence rates and impact on the brain
  • Recognize FASD indicators and common presentations in school
  • Utilize FASD-informed support strategies and resources
